Ventia is currently seeking a skilled electrician to join their team in New Zealand. As an electrician, selected candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in their facilities. Key Responsibilities of Electrician:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform regular inspections to identify and fix electrical issues.
- Test electrical systems to ensure they are working properly and safely.
- Follow electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work and repairs.
- Ideally after someone with either industrial or commercial background to do primarily work in the Generation sector and a little bit of Distribution and Transmission.
- This role can be based in either Rotorua or Taupo with the work covering most of the Bay of Plenty and the Waikato.
- There is minimal overnight travel involve and all travel, ppe, and working away from home allowances covered by the company.
Requirements for Job:
- Proven experience as an Electrician
- Valid electrical license
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
