Cashier Responsibilities:

• Operate cash register.
• Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments.
• Scan items.
• Receive payment for goods or services.
• Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
• Greet customers.
• Provide customer service.
• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Operate cash registers and process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide accurate information about products and services.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns, escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.

Cashier Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
