A motivated and physically fit Order Picker is needed to join Reliance Workforce on an ongoing casual basis. You will work in grocery, alcohol, and freezer picking roles at Crestmead and Rocklea Markets. You must be willing to work in minus 20 degree freezers. Constant intensive manual handling of 20 kilograms plus is expected. Training is provided, but candidates with experience are preferred. Both AM and PM shifts are available. This role offers 38 hours or more per week, Monday to Friday. Alcohol picking is mostly four days per week, Monday to Thursday. Key Responsibilities
You will do the following as an Order Picker
- Pick grocery, alcohol, and freezer products accurately according to order sheets
- Work efficiently in a minus 20 degree freezer environment while wearing provided protective gear
- Handle manual tasks including lifting, carrying, and stacking items weighing over 20 kilograms
- Use voice picking or scanning equipment as trained
- Ensure all picked orders are packed correctly and ready for dispatch
- Maintain high attention to detail to avoid picking errors
- Work at a fast pace to meet daily targets and deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques
- Keep your work area clean and organised throughout your shift
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
- Multi‑task effectively when handling different product types
- Attend shifts reliably and on time, with your own transport
Qualifications
You must have valid unrestricted working rights in Australia. Reliable transport to Crestmead or Rocklea is essential. Physical fitness to perform repetitive manual handling of 20 kilograms plus is a must. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multi‑task is required. High attention to detail and a positive, can‑do attitude are essential. Outstanding work ethics and a desire for long term employment are highly valued. Previous experience in supply chain distribution centres is highly sought after but not mandatory because training is provided. No formal degree is required. Willingness to work in freezers and handle alcohol products is necessary.
