Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service across both restaurant dining and event operations, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued
- Act as a senior point of contact during service, supporting the floor team and resolving guest queries quickly and professionally
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation, product knowledge, and guest engagement throughout every shift
- Assist with event setups and service, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish
- Monitor table flow and timing, coordinating closely with kitchen and bar teams to keep service smooth
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards at all times, following QT policies and local regulations
- Support the training and mentoring of junior team members, sharing your experience and helping them grow
Qualifications
Minimum two years of experience in a premium or five star hospitality environment as a waiter or senior waiter. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including the ability to describe dishes and recommend wine pairings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive hands on approach. A genuine passion for guest experience and problem solving. Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings. An LCQ or Managers Certificate is advantageous but not essential. You must be legally allowed to work in New Zealand.
