Ventia is seeking energetic team members to join their Auckland Council Sanitation & Waste team as street cleaner /laborers for the night shift in New Zealand. This role involves maintaining Auckland Council’s property portfolio by performing street cleaning services such as collecting litter, road sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, and pavement cleaning. Key Responsibilities of Street Cleaner:

  • Blowing leaves, collecting litter, and cleaning outside areas around minor shops and recreational spaces.
  • Operating a motorized sweeper vehicle to sweep footpaths, parking lots, and other walkway areas.
  • Cleaning and maintaining city and outer public areas by removing waste, debris, and other rubbish.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to safety, health, environment, and quality standards.

Requirements for Street Cleaner:

  • The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, and have a genuine belief in excellent customer service.
  • You should have a “can do” attitude and be able to work independently and safely.
  • Holding a Class 1 driver’s license is preferable, and you must be willing and able to drive either a van or box cage small truck.
