Reece Group is currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Branch Staff Cashier to join their team in Hamilton. As a Branch Staff Cashier, selected candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. As a Trade Counter Assistant, you will perform a wide variety of jobs day to day including delivering products to our essential service customers, picking & packing orders and providing exceptional service when serving our customers on the trade counter. Responsibilities of Branch Staff Cashier:

  • Handling over-the-counter retail trade sales and customer quotes.
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy cashier area.
  • Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking merchandise.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Undertaking pick packing, warehousing, and stock control activities.
  • Stock replenishment and stock take cycle counters.

Requirements for Branch Staff Cashier Job:

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Proficient computer and system skills
  • A team player, with exceptional safety awareness
  • Clean full driver’s license and forklift license (ideal, but not essential)
  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
