Key Responsibilities
- Vacuum carpets and hard floors in classrooms, hallways, and common areas of the educational institute
- Mop hard floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions to remove dirt and spills
- Dust and wipe down desks, tables, chairs, whiteboards, and other classroom surfaces
- Clean bathroom facilities including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers, restocking supplies as needed
- Perform glass cleaning on internal windows and glass doors to maintain a streak free appearance
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, ensuring waste is disposed of in designated recycling and general waste streams
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly
Qualifications
Previous commercial cleaning experience is required. You must hold a current Working With Children Check, as this is mandatory for working in an educational setting. A current National Police Clearance is also mandatory. Excellent communication skills and high customer service skills with a friendly demeanour are essential. You must have a high standard of work, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Own reliable transport is required to reach the Glenelg site. You must be able to pass a pre employment medical assessment. The ability to work autonomously and use initiative is highly valued. Availability to work Monday to Friday from 4pm to 8pm is essential.
