MAINTENANCE WORKER JOB IN NAVY EXCHANGE IN JAPAN

The Navy Exchange in Japan is seeking a dedicated and skilled maintenance worker to join their maintenance team in Japan. As a maintenance worker, selected candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities. This includes but is not limited to, repairing and maintaining plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as performing general maintenance duties such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Worker:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Maintains work order log and follow up as required.
• Reports status to supervisor. Logs trouble calls with contractor as appropriate.
• May be required to greet guests at time of arrival and offer assistance with luggage directions base services and local area information.
• Washer Dryer repair Assists in performing routine maintenance on washers and dryers to include cleaning lint ducts and vents replacing hoses and fittings as required and referring more complex problems to supervisor for action.
• Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning HVAC Assists in identifying the cause of faulty equipment and assists in making repairs on a variety of HVAC units as appropriate.
• Electrical Assists in recognizing and reporting electrical problems.
• Assists with repairs as appropriate. Replaces fluorescent and incandescent ballasts bulbs and tubes.
• Carpentry Assists in basic carpentry repairs such as repairing or replacing screens window and door frames molding and trim repair and replacement of drywall or similar products.
• Painting Assists in preparation of areas and standard coating methods such as brushing rolling and spraying and ensures surfaces are fully coated protected and free from drips and runs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Perform general maintenance duties such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.

Requirements for Job:

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Valid Passport with valid SOFA stamp.
• Valid Government ID Car.
• Command Sponsorship Letter or Family Entry Approval Letter.
• Alien Registration Card, if applicable.
• Proof of SSN, if applicable.
• Permanent Duty Orders, if applicable.
• Prior Military Service Members must also bring copy of DD214.
