Nike is giving an opportunity for job of a people solutions consultant in Japan, who plays a pivotal role in optimizing human resources and fostering a positive work environment within a company. They are responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization’s goals. This role involves talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and training and development. People Solutions Consultants collaborate closely with both management and employees to ensure a harmonious workplace, address HR challenges, and enhance employee satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the company’s overall success. Responsibilities of Job:

  • On any given day, you will be flexible to perform onsite HR transactional, operational as well as advisory/coaching tasks.
  • You will assist on all preboarding, onboarding, exit as well as coaching and performance management related activities to ensure they are carried out in accordance with Nike global process and local statutory requirements.
  • You will also handle sensitive and/or confidential employee information and ensure advice provided to employees complies to company policies, procedures, statutory laws/ regulations and partner closely with cross-functional HR operational teams such as Benefits, Compensation,
  • Data Management and Compliance to drive process improvements as appropriate.
  • You will also help provide translations as necessary and administer/lead Employee Relations or Performance Coaching related tasks and keep the policies and procedures updated.
  • You will provide direction and oversight for employee related matters like time-off, medical leave, formal and informal employee complaints, investigation of harassment and discrimination claims, termination of employee. 

Eligibility Criteria for Job:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree required.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources or Human Resources Shared Services environment; in a multinational or outsourcing or shared service environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in English and Native level Japanese in both spoken and writing communication.
  • Team player, customer service-oriented, effective communication skills and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Resourceful and self-driven with a strong sense of commitment and urgency to meet set goals and objectives.
  • Analytical, meticulous, and able to perform independently.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Working knowledge of
  • Human Resource Information System (e.g. SAP, Workday) or ticket management system (e.g. ServiceNow) would be an advantage.
