High Voltage Transmission Electrician Job in Australia

Responsibilities of High Voltage Transmission Electrician:

• Responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operational performance and maintenance of the transmission, distribution and generation assets.
• Consistently maintain high standards in all facets of network operations and maintenance.
• Work with the Transmission Supervisors to ensure all maintenance activities are execute in accordance with maintenance strategies.
• Commitment to high quality safety and continuous improvement practices.
• Use of SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and complete to the relevant standard / specification.

Requirements for Job:

• Relevant Australian recognized Trade Certification – Electrical Workers License
• High Voltage Switching certificate and relevant network switching experience.
• Experience with all aspects of HV power distribution and transmission systems. Experience in large scale transmission networks and operation of Siemens GIS switchgear would be an advantage.
• Experience in computer-based maintenance systems – SAP.
• EWP and working at heights trained – desirable.
• Flexibility in operation and ability to work in a team and as a motivated contributor.
• Self-motivated individual with written and verbal communication skills
