ST JHON of GOD Health Care is looking for a skilled Chef to join their team in Australia. The Chef is a hands-on position cooking within all sections of the kitchen ensuring a very high-quality food service is provided to all of the Hospitals customer and clients. He will work within Health Department of Western Australia Regulations (HDWA) and the Hospital Food Safety Management Plan. Responsibilities of Chef:

  • Holds a key position within the Catering Department and is responsible for demonstrating exemplary conduct and behaviour at all times.
  • Acts as a role model in following safe food handling techniques in accordance with current legislation.
  • Acts as a role model in promoting a harmonious, supportive and team orientated workplace.
  • Responsible for preparation of all daily food production for the Hospitals (public & private).
  • Ensure that any dietary needs are taken care of each day. Cater for internal and external functions as requested.
  • Ensures Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, Legislative requirements and the Hospital Food Safety Plan (Good Manufacturing Practice

Eligibility Criteria for Chef:

  • You will have a cooking and trade certificate or equivalent with sound knowledge of Safe Food Handling Process and previous experience in the cooking/catering department of a reputable restaurant or hospital establishment.
  • To succeed you will have good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of normal, modified diets and thickened fluids as well as, knowledge and expertise in the following Food Produce.
